Recall Baronet cheese

Recall Baronet Cheese

Following a visit by the EHO and testing on the cheese, we have had to recall batches of Baronet from sale after tests revealed the presence of Listeria Monocytogenes in them. These were sales we had made to wholesalers, retailers and market customers.

·      The following batches have been recalled: 21/12 Baronet, 11/01Baronet, 12/01Baronet, 16/01 Baby Baronet and 18/01 Mini Baronet and Baronet.

·      If you bought any of these cheeses with their Best before date 31/3/23, 11/04/23, 12/04/23, 16/04/23 and 18/04/23, please do not eat any of this cheese.

We are in the process of assessing how this has happened. Please note that none of our other cheeses have been affected by this.

Call us  on 07531 060936 or email theoldcheeseroom@talktalk.net or contact the outlet you bought it from and of course a refund will be arranged.

According to the Food Standard Agency:

#Listeriosis is not usually serious for most people, but there are some groups at higher risk, like #pregnant women and those with weakened immune systems. The NHS website has info on what to do to avoid Listeriosis.
